My last day in D.C.

Hi every one!!! So today was my last day in D.C. :(. Well anyway today I went to the FBI and that was cool! We also finshed up The Museum of Natural History And I was really happy about that!

Let's start with the FBI. That was aweswome. The man that gave us the tour was Supervisory Special Agent Douglas Perdue. He was fun and I'm glad he was able to give us the tour. He gave us a great tour. You really can't see very much of the FBI because - well - because it's the FBI! We also met a man named Arthur Cummings and he is the Executive Assistant Director of the National Security Branch of the FBI. He gave me a really special coin. Each high ranking person has their own coin made. Here's a picture of the coin. It's a very fancy one!

The FBI building.

After that I went to the Natural History Museum which was fantastic! I loved it so much that I took a million pictures on my phone, which I can't download. Luckily I took some on the camera. Here they are:

An Easter Island Maoi.

This is an Orangutan.

Sword fish bones.

A Cheetah and it's unlucky prey :(.

A python.
Well that was my day! Hope you enjoyed my trip as much as I did. I may go back and update some of it later on so I guess i'll see ya later!

The pentagon.

So today I went to the Pantagon! That was awesome! Our new friend Colonel Dayley gave us a fantastic tour! So here are some pictures! But before we begin, the reason there are almost no pictures is their security. To bad, because I saw a four star general!!! Wish I could have shown you!

My busy day!

Today I went to Representative Blumenauer's Office in D.C.! So when I came in to get the tickets, the people that gave out the tickets asked for my name. I told them and when I did, they said "Hey it's Ian the blogger!" That was cool! Here's a picture of them!

They were fun!

Then my family and I went up and met Congressman Blumenauer in his office and hung out with him! Here are some pictures!

So, that was my day but before I go I want you to see the ticket and invitation to the swearing in of Barack Obama:

See ya!!! Can't wait till tomorrow!!!

So today I went to the Smithsonian museum of American history and that was neat! There I saw the the real C3-PO costume! That was awesome!!! Then I went and took a picture of an older type of boat. I thought that was really cool! Well, just thought that I would keep you updated. So, see ya! Oh, and by the way I thought I would say "hi" to Congressman Blumenauer's Portland office! (I'll meet the Washington people tomorrow.) Also, to my friends in Oregon, Bella and Stefan! Plus a 'sup to my friends at MLC. Say "hi" to Ned and Jeff for me! Plus to my friends and teachers at my old school Emerson. And a final "hi" to all my friends back home Nate, Kierra, Jon, Joel, Marcus and Ben! See ya next post :)!!!

My Long Day

I woke up around 8:30 in the morning and had a great breakfast.
Today I used the Washington Metro for the first time. That was cool!
Then I went to the National Museum of Air and Space. Here are some pictures there. The part that interested me the most was the WWII section.

Model of an Aircraft Carrier

Soviet ICBM

Next we went to the Museum of Natural History. That was sweet! We saw dinosaur skeletons that were really interesting. Again, here are more photos.

T Rex

Mammoth

Back home for lunch and then off again to the Vietnam War Memorial. That was interesting. We went across the Mall and saw the Korean War memorial. This is made of a lot of status of soldiers.

The Wall

Korean War Memorial

We went out to dinner at Taj of India in Georgetown. The food there was really good and the waiters were great! I had curried chicken and drank masala tea.We got home at 7:30. Wickedly long day!

THE UNKNOWN

Here is a poem about an unknown whose name no one knows. This is a poem from my teacher, Ned. We are doing a play and this is my part that I have to memorize.

Ye aspiring ones, listen to the story of the unknown
Who lies here with no stone to mark the place.
As a boy reckless and wanton,
Wandering with gun in hand through the forest
Near the mansion of Aaron Hatfield,
I shot a hawk perched on the top
Of a dead tree.
He fell with guttural cry
At my feet, his wing broken.
Then I put him in a cage
Where he lived many days cawing angrily at me
When I offered him food.
Daily I search the realms of Hades
For the soul of the hawk,
That I may offer him the friendship
Of one whom life wounded and caged.

I will have video up later. see ya.
